PennDOT maintenance schedule for week of May 11

The state Department of Transportation issued the following tentative work plan for Greene County starting Monday. Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. Jerry Simkovic, Greene County maintenance manager, urges motorists to drive with caution throughout all work areas.

Crews will be conducting the following activities:

• Abutment wall repairs on state Route 2018 in Whiteley Township.

• Bridge cleaning will continue on various routes in eastern Greene County.

• Pavement patching on Route 21 from the West Virginia line to Route 18 at the Washington County line. Patching also on Greene Street, Route 218 and Wayne and Franklin streets in Waynesburg.

• Pavement patching is scheduled for various routes in Carmichaels, Clarksville and Jefferson areas.

• Slide and washout repairs on state Bristoria Road in Jackson and Center townships.

• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
