Warrant arrest: Angela Faye Riggle, 52, of 167 Center Ave., Burgettstown, was taken into custody Monday by McDonald police on a warrant obtained by North Fayette Township police on a charge of theft. She was then released to North Fayette police.
Theft charge: Jasmine Jewel Ann White, 27, of Pittsburgh, was charged Tuesday by state police with theft of services after she allegedly failed to pay a Yellow Cab driver a $147 bill for a ride from her home to Wendy’s, 1399 W. Chestnut St., Canton, May 6. Police said she had no money to pay the driver. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Fake money: State police at the Meadows Casino said a counterfeit $20 bill was passed Sunday.
ATV crash: Zack VanVoorhis, 23, of 1002 Valley View Road, Bulger, was charged Thursday by McDonald police with reckless endangerment, driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an all-terrain vehicle on a road, and having no insurance, no registration and no inspection stemming from an early morning crash April 20 in the 6000 block of Maple Grove Road, Robinson. Police said he was driving with a passenger, Ashley Knestrick, when the ATV went off the road and slid over an embankment. VanVoorhis, who police said had a blood-alcohol content 2 ½ times the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication, was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Knestrick refused treatment for a minor injury. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
Theft charge: Jackie Hernandez, 23, of Lubbock, Texas, was charged this week by state police with two counts of theft after he allegedly was seen on video trying to steal two bottles of liquor from 84 Lakes Lounge, Route 136, Somerset, April 28, and stealing money from the purse of Wendy Kotecki of Eighty Four. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Weapons charge: Peyton Elizabeth Hull, 20, of 155 E. Katherine Ave., Washington, was arrested early Thursday by state police during a traffic stop at the intersection of Sumner and East Hallam avenues, Washington. While police were speaking to the driver, Hull, who was a passenger, allegedly was spotted shoving an object down the front of her shirt. She was ordered out of the van. When she pulled a lighter out of her bra, police said they spotted what appeared to be a small clip from a gun. Police said she shoved it back into her shirt, and when officers tried to get it, she pulled away and had to be wrestled to the ground. Police said they retrieved a loaded semi-automatic handgun from her bra. The gun was registered to her brother. Police said they also found a metal grinder and partial marijuana cigarette in her purse. Hull was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Meters stolen: A Washington Parking Authority employee told city police Wednesday two meters were stolen and three damaged in the lot in the 100 block of South Main Street and another two stolen and one damaged in the lot in the 200 block of South Main.
Man charged: Raphael Dorsett, 24, of 50 Hayes Ave., was charged with harassment after allegedly pushing Jessica Kein several times during an incident at their home early Thursday.
Package delivered: Linda Bird, 1290 Donnan Ave., called Washington police after a package with her address and not her name was delivered to her home Wednesday. The package contained four, Panasonic LCD projectors.
Harasssment charge: Daniel Berry, 45, of 666 Fayette St., was charged by Washington police with harassment after allegedly hitting Kevin Myer of Washington in the face and knocking Deana Dodson, no address available, to the ground during a confrontation at his home. Berry was found climbing out of a window at the home. He surrendered when police said they were sending the K-9 after him. He was placed in Washington County Jail on a probation warrant.
