85 GCCTC students to be recognized at ceremony Wednesday
The Greene County Career and Technology Center will hold a recognition ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Waynesburg Central High School.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony for the Class of 2015 that includes 85 students.
The Mistress of Ceremonies and student speaker for the evening is Michaela Milliken, a Jefferson-Morgan High School student in culinary arts, and a daughter of Michael and Joy Milliken of Mather.
Milliken’s activities include certificate of recognition from former state Sen. Tim Solobay for working at the 2012 presidential inauguration; certificate of recognition from the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, a FCCLA national competitor in 2013 and 2014; and SkillsUSA state competitor in 2014. Milliken is employed at Bob Evans as a hostess and is a member of a youth group and the Jefferson-Morgan band. She plans to attend Westmoreland County Community College in the fall.
Brandon Rimmel will present the invocation and benediction. He is a Mapletown High School student in welding/fabrication and a son of Scott Rimmel and Christopher and Tina Spitznogle of Dilliner.
Rimmel worked as a state Department of Transportation co-op student since September and participated in football and wrestling at Mapletown.
