Cruiser hit: Canonsburg police Officer James Saieva suffered minor injuries just before 7 a.m. Monday when the cruiser he was driving was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Lori J. Lucero, 53, of 620 Euclid Ave., Canonsburg. Lucero reportedly told North Strabane Township police, who investigated the crash, that she was stopped at the light at Euclid Avenue and East Pike Street when her coffee spilled and her foot slipped off the brake.
Money stolen: Brooklyn Meyers of 521 ½ Giffin Ave., Canonsburg, told Canonsburg police Saturday $25 was stolen from her purse while she was working at Dunkin’ Donuts, Cavasina Drive.
Vehicle damaged: Amanda Coursin of 149 Murdock St. told Canonsburg police Friday the rear hatch of her vehicle was punched, leaving a dent. Charges are pending.
Drugs stolen: An 81-year-old Canton woman told state police last week that 83 hydrocodone tablets and $40 were stolen from her home. She told police that the items may have been stolen by an Eighty Four woman. Police ask that anyone with information call them at 724-223-5200.
Drug arrest: Perry Gordon Fennell, 33, of East Liverpool, Ohio, was arrested Friday by Hanover police at First Niagara Pavilion on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with the suspected drug in the parking lot. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $30,000 bond.
Hit-and-run crash: McDonald police are looking for a silver sport utility vehicle that sideswiped a parked Toyota owned by Kingsley Akern while Akern’s vehicle was parked on Magnolia Street Saturday afternoon. The possible hit-and-run vehicle was registered to a resident of Coraopolis, police said.
Two charged: Terri L. Henderson, 51, and Brandon Paul Henderson, 27, both of 525 Marne St., Monongahela, were arrested Friday night by Monongahela police stemming from a traffic stop near their home. The vehicle sped away, but a large van blocked its path. Police said Brandon Henderson jumped out of the vehicle and ran, and Terri Henderson, who was the driver, also ran and was found at her home. Terri Henderson is charged with theft, obstruction of justice, unauthorized transfer of registration, and fleeing or attempting to elude police. Brandon Henderson is charged with flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest. Both were arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bonds.
Driver faces charges: Levio Corgnati, 21, of Avella, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic offenses stemming from a crash about 4:30 a.m. Sunday on Jacobs Road, Mt. Pleasant police said. Corgnati was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Blood was drawn to determine his alcohol level, police said.
Driver to be charged: Andrea Forsythe, 26, of Sturgeon, will be charged by Mt. Pleasant police with driving without a license, having expired registration and driving an uninspected vehicle stemming from a crash Saturday on Fort Cherry Road.
Charged in stop: Cody Ferguson, 22, of Pittsburgh, was charged Monday by Mt. Pleasant police with false identification to police, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and traffic violations stemming from an April 14 traffic stop on Westland Road at Sabo Road. During the stop, Ferguson allegedly gave police his brother’s information.
Trailer fire: Mt. Pleasant police are investigating a May 15 fire that damaged an abandoned house trailer at 1178 Burgettstown Road. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call police at 724-356-7917.
Road rage: Mt. Pleasant police are investigating a reported road rage incident between 6 and 6:30 a.m. Friday on Primrose and Fort Cherry roads. Police said the suspect’s vehicle is a white, full-size Ford pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-356-7917.
Bar cited: The operators of Tradesmen Inn, 1769 E. National Pike, North Bethlehem, were cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for failing to require patrons to vacate the part of the premises used for the service of alcoholic beverages no later than 30 minutes after serving of alcohol was permitted and allowing people to possess alcoholic beverages after 2:30 a.m. The violation allegedly occurred April 4.
Theft arrest: Jill Anneli Crouse, 25, who is currently incarcerated in Washington County jail, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Ethan Ward on a charge of theft filed by state police. She is accused of stealing a debit card of Linda Marie Coffield of South Franklin last December and using it to make several cash withdrawals totaling $1,500. Ward set bond at $2,500.
Vehicle entered: Marian Mitchell of 1101 Willowbrook Drive told South Strabane police Saturday her husband spotted a man inside her vehicle. Her husband chased the man. Stolen from the vehicle were $2 and a portable DVD player.
Assault arrest: William Jeffrey Stankowski, 45, of 125 Jollick Manor, was arrested Friday night by Washington police on a charge of simple assault after he allegedly grabbed Tarah Stankowski by the hair and punched her on the top of the head. He also allegedly tossed her about the bathroom, damaging the toilet. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Fleeing, DUI charges: David S. Wright, 45, of 1211 Bentleyville Road, VanVoorhis, was arrested early Sunday by Washington police on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, DUI of alcohol and not having insurance stemming from an incident on Fayette Street and McCarrell Avenue. When police attempted to stop him, they say Wright looked at the officer and continued to drive for another block. Police said he refused to submit to blood-alcohol testing. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and released.
Drug arrest: Amanda Musisko, 31, of Chartiers Street, Washington, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin filed by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force. She is accused of selling heroin to a confidential informant in January. She was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
Employee robbed: City police were called to Star Carpet, 600 W. Chestnut St., just before noon Sunday for a report of an armed robbery. An employee said a man wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans and a mask told him to get on the floor and put a black gun to his head. The suspect then took $300 from the employee’s wallet and fled in an unknown direction. Police said they found parts of an airsoft gun in the store and the frame of an airsoft gun and a mask behind the store. The victim told police he might know who did it. Police are investigating.
Possession charges: A complaint was filed Monday with District Justice Robert Redlinger against Rebecca Cumpston, 26, of 107 Locust St., Muse, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. City police said she was found at 265 Lincoln Terrace April 19 with three stamp bags of heroin, four needles, both filled and empty glassine bags, and two spoons with residue on them. Charges will be sent by summons.
Drug, DUI charges: City police filed a complaint Monday with District Justice Robert Redlinger against Mason D. Smith, 24, of 515 W. Chestnut St., in connection with a December incident. Police said Smith smelled of alcohol when he was stopped while driving at Tyler and Allison avenues. He allegedly was in possession of 33.3 grams of marijuana in multiple packages and $366. Police said a test revealed his blood-alcohol content was 0.278 percent, more than three times the level at which the state presumes intoxication. Smith is charged with possession with intent to deliver and DUI. Charges will be sent by summons.
Retail theft: Retail theft charges were filed against Lawrence Papini, 20, of 585 Fayette Street, after police say he stole cold and blood pressure medicine Thursday from Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St.
