After a 15-minute closed session Wednesday, members of the Washington County Prison Board terminated the employment of a guard.

Nicole Dietrich, who was hired last year, worked full-time as a corrections officer.

“No, we can’t comment,” said County Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven after the vote. District Attorney Gene Vittone, who was handling cases before a district judge, was absent. Representing the controller’s office was Joshua Hatfield, deputy.

According to the report issued by Warden John Temas, there were 358 inmates housed at the jail at the end of April, 301 males and 57 females.
