Cash theft: Bridget Higginbotham, 26, of 259 Grant St., Nemacolin, was charged with theft after state police said she stole $175 from another woman’s May 7 while the two were working at Dairy Queen in Carmichaels. Police also charged Higginbotham with possession of drug paraphernalia after troopers said they found her with used syringes upon her arrest May 20.

Assault charge: State police said they charged Shannon M. Horvwalt, 39, of Dilliner, with simple assault and harassment following a fight with a man inside a residence at Shuppe’s Mobile Home Park in Dunkard Township shortly after midnight Thursday.

Rollover crash: State police said they responded to a rollover crash about 11 p.m. Thursday on Route 88 near Marble Hill Road in Monongahela Township. Police said George T. Rhome, 48, of Dilliner, was speeding when his car crashed into a guardrail, struck a house and rolled over. Rhome was not injured in the crash.

Single-vehicle crash: Jody C. Villella, 33, of Ambridge, was uninjured when he swerved to avoid a fallen tree branch on Scott Hill Road in Richhill Township and crashed over an embankment Monday afternoon, state police said.

Man punched in face: Mathew Greenwood, 26, of Spraggs, was charged with simple assault and harassment after state police said he struck another man in the face several times at 594 Bell Run Road in Wayne Township late Thursday night. Greenwood was arraigned by District Judge Glenn Bates and released on $3,000 unsecured bond.
