Dump truck overturns on Route 21
A truck driver suffered minor injuries Tuesday afternoon when his dump truck overturned on Route 21 near Rogersville.
Christopher Givner, 26, of Pittsburgh, was driving east about shortly before 12:30 p.m. when he lost control, crashed into a culvert and the truck rolled into a culvert by the roadway, state police said.
Center Township volunteer firefighter cut Givner from the cab and he was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.
One lane of Route 21 was closed for several hours as crews removed the wreckage.
The dump truck was carrying dirt from Ryerson Station State Park to Mather as part of work to reclaim a coal waste dump in the eastern side of the county.
