Canonsburg police: Grindstone man made $32K in illegal purchases
CANONSBURG – A Fayette County man was arrested on a warrant Wednesday night on charges filed by Canonsburg police accusing him of using his former employer’s credit card to make $32,820 in illegal purchases at a home improvement store chain.
Police charged Michael David Lucosh Jr., 23, of Grindstone, with theft and unauthorized use of a credit card stemming from a Sept. 5 complaint lodged against him by his former employer, J.D. Waterproofing in Canonsburg, court records show.
The manager of the business accused Lucosh of using the company’s Lowe’s credit card between July 5, 2014, and Sept. 3, 2014, after he no longer worked for the company, police stated in the affidavit.
Police claim Lucosh confessed to using the credit card at several Lowe’s stores to purchase items to repay a drug debt, the record states.
Police in Redstone Township in Fayette contacted Canonsburg police Wednesday night to make arrangements to hand over Lucosh, whom Redstone picked up on the warrant.
He is free on $25,000 bond after being arraigned Thursday morning by District Judge Gary Havelka.
