Carmichaels Area High School will graduate 60 seniors during commencement ceremonies Friday at 7:15 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Robert Clarence Buttermore and Madison Elizabeth Wilson are the valedictorians while Ashley Nicole Dotson is the salutatorian.

Robert Buttermore, the son of Johnathan and Amie Buttermore, is an Outstanding Scholar Award winner, HOBY Ambassador and STEM award winner. He was the secretary of National Honor Society, treasurer of the senior class, editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and an Academic League member. He plans to attend West Virginia University and major in finance.

Madison Wilson, the daughter of Michael and Kristi Wilson, is an Outstanding Scholar Award winner, World Affairs Council representative, Quarterbacks of Life member, National Honor Society vice president and was the January Girl-of-the-Month for the Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club. She is a junior volunteer at Southwest Regional Medical Center, bible school helper at St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church and has volunteered for the American Cancer Society. She plans to attend Seton Hill University and major in biology.

Ashley Dotson, the daughter of Christine Dotson, was a member of the school’s Envirothon team, a Rachel Carson Book Award winner, National Honor Society member and writer and editor for the school newspaper. She also was a member of the Anime Club, writing group and Chatham Scholars. She plans to attend Chatham University and major in creative writing.
