Mother goose in Ohio gets second chance at motherhood

CASTALIA, Ohio (AP) – A mother goose that was badly burned by a fire outside an Ohio government building has been given a second chance at motherhood.

Her own eggs were destroyed after cigarette butts set fire to the goose and her nest at the Erie County Services Building earlier this month. Two humans put out the flames, saving the goose’s life.

She was taken to a specialist who determined that she would be able to fly again and be released back into the wild.
