$11.5M in contributions for Pa. high court candidates
HARRISBURG – Campaign contributions to candidates for Pennsylvania Supreme Court have passed a new milestone one day before voters go to the polls.
Reports on file Monday for late contributions have pushed the total fundraising for the seven candidates to nearly $11.5 million in a campaign marked by heavy TV advertising. That’s about $1 million more than the total of the last round of campaign finance reports in mid-October.
Seven candidates are competing for an unprecedented three open seats on the state’s high court.
Tuesday’s statewide ballot also features contests for one open seat on Superior Court and one on Commonwealth Court.
The Election Day forecast calls for sunny skies and daytime highs around 70 degrees.
