Two Dunkard Township men charged with breaking into house and threatening occupants
Charges were filed Monday against two Dunkard Township men accused of kicking in the door of a house in Dilliner Saturday night and threatening the occupants, including several young children.
Jason E. Salisbury, 27, of Dilliner and Nathan L. Salisbury, 22, of Bobtown, were each charged with burglary, criminal trespass, terroristic threats and harassment.
The charges were filed by state police with District Judge Lee Watson. Neither of the men had been arraigned Monday afternoon.
The men went to the house of Donna Quaskey on Route 2011 at 10:30 p.m., looking for Quaskey’s 25-year-old son, Nicholas Campbell, according to police.
Abriana Lewis, Campbell’s sister, who initially went outside after the men arrived saw only Nathan Salisbury, who asked to see Campbell. Lewis told Salisbury Campbell was inside but if there was a problem “to take it somewhere else” because there were young children in the house, police said.
Campbell came out on the porch to talk and as Nathan Salisbury approached and walked past Lewis, Lewis saw Jason Salisbury at the corner of the house holding a large rock.
Lewis alerted Campbell and the two fled inside and attempted to close the door. Both Salisburys tried to push the door open but Campbell and Lewis aided by Quaskey and Katherine Arbogast were able to shut the door and lock it.
When someone inside yelled to call the police, one of the Salisburys said they would kill them all if they called the cops, police said.
Nathan Salisbury then kicked the door in and the two men entered the house, police said. They shoved Quaskey, Lewis and Arbogast aside to get to Campbell. Nathan Salisbury grabbed Campbell and forced him toward a back bedroom, running into a child on the way, police said.
When Lewis again asked the men to leave because of the children, Jason Salisbury said he didn’t care and would kill all of them, police said.
As Nathan Salisbury pushed Campbell toward the back bedroom, Qauskey yelled to stop because more small children were in the bedroom. Salisbury suddenly stopped and both men left the residence, police said.
Police said Arbogast and Lewis each suffered minor injuries holding the door trying to stop the men from entering the house.
