The ladies of the Social Service League of Waynesburg will celebrate their 21st year of kicking off the holiday season in the community with their Holiday Extravaganza Craft Show this weekend.

The show is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Waynesburg Central Elementary School.

This year, there will be more than 60 crafters from near and far filling the gym, cafeteria and outside spaces. The show features all homemade crafts, including baskets, photography, large and small wooden crafts, jewelry, sewing and crochet, wreaths and home baked items, just to name a few. The committee tries to keep the show fresh each year by involving new crafters so come out and see what’s new.

The ladies of League will also be selling homemade noodles, soup and sandwiches, as well as fresh fruit cobblers. There will also be a crafters raffle, and roasted chickens will be available for takeout. The activity room will be offered to occupy children while you shop and parking is free.

People can get regular updates throughout the year on the craft show as well as other fund raising events and League activities by going to the Social Service League’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/socialserviceleaguewbg.

Proceeds from the event will help to provide necessities for children in the Central Greene School District. For more information on Social Service League, please come to the show or contact any member.
