Special Olympics begins basketball and dance program
The Special Olympics is beginning its basketball program this winter with practices starting soon.
Basketball skill practices will be held at Waynesburg University in the Old Gym on Nov. 7, 22 and 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
A certification training day will be held Nov. 15 for anyone interested in becoming a coach through the Special Olympics.
Also, the Special Olympics will begin its newest program, dance and fitness classes.
Starting Nov. 4, dance instructor Carrie Arbogast will hold classes at In Motion Dance Studio on High Street in Waynesburg.
Classes will be held every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m.
