Burglary charge: State police Thursday charged Willie W. Jones, 24, of 142 Kuhn Hill Road, Wind Ridge, in connection with a May 2014 burglary in Aleppo Township in which tools and scrap metal were stolen. Police said Jones burglarized the property at 536 McCracken Road May 14 and stole tools and a corn planter. Police said the equipment was later found at a scrap yard in West Alexander. Jones faces charges of burglary, trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and criminal mischief. Jones was not arraigned on the charges as of Friday afternoon. Jones is currently awaiting trial on charges he robbed Stokes General Store in Wind Ridge in August.

Tractor-trailer crash: Stephen M. Carr, 32, of Brownsville, was cited for speeding after state police said he crashed his tractor-trailer Oct. 30, causing it to roll onto it side along Route 88 near Holbert Stretch in Dunkard Township. Carr suffered a minor injury, police said.
