MCKEESPORT (AP) – Police say a man wanted in the shooting death of an elderly motorist believed to have been caught in the crossfire in Western Pennsylvania has turned himself in to police.

Eighteen-year-old Rashawn Walker was taken into custody just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Walker didn’t respond to reporters’ questions. His attorney, Randall McKinney, says his client wasn’t involved in the shooting.

Investigators say 73-year-old James Ponzo died of a gunshot wound to the head last week when his vehicle got caught in the crossfire between two cars in McKeesport.

As of Tuesday night, Walker hadn’t been charged in Ponzo’s death. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail on a probation violation.
