State police released more information about the driver and vehicle involved in a June hit-and-run crash that seriously injured an Armstrong County man in Amwell Township.

Paul Dick of Parker was riding his motorcycle the morning of June 4 on Amity Ridge Road near South Main Street when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver, believed to have been a man in his 50s or 60s, fled without stopping.

State police initially believed the vehicle was a light blue minivan with damage to the area near the driver’s side rear door. Police obtained new evidence indicating the van was a light blue to blue, full-sized, cargo-style van, possibly a 1980s model. Police said the van could be a Ford, Chevrolet or GMC.

Troopers also believe the van involved in the crash has not been driven since the wreck.

The new evidence also indicated the hit-and-run driver is from the area and may now be driving a small, white car.

Anyone with information about the van or driver is asked to call Trooper Andrew Stambull or Trooper Jon Bershok at 724-223-5200.
