Theft, receiving charges: Travis Treshaun Black, 18, of Pittsburgh, will be charged by California police with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly sold a stolen bicycle to a pawn shop on Wood Street for $10 on Thursday.

Assault charge: Demetric L. Adams, 25, of McKees Rocks, was charged by North Franklin police with simple assault, harassment and defiant trespass after he allegedly assaulted Daijai Smith inside her apartment at 400 Hancock St. on Tuesday. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Boy charged: A 14-year-old Washington boy was charged by North Franklin police in a juvenile allegation with robbery and harassment after he allegedly robbed another boy of a gold necklace in the food court at Washington Crown Center on Nov. 6. He also reportedly tried to hit witnesses who were chasing him. The boy was taken into custody and placed in the Jefferson County (Ohio) Juvenile Detention Center.

Disorderly charges: Samuel Avolia Jr. of 250 Scenic Drive, Washington, and Lawrence McDonald, 37, of 1935 Vista Valley Road, Washington, were charged by North Franklin police with disorderly conduct stemming from a confrontation Nov. 8 in the parking lot of Gabby Inn, 1488 Park Ave.

Bicycle found: State police are looking for the owner of a Schwinn bicycle found Thursday on the southbound side of Interstate 79 near the Houston exit, North Strabane. To claim the bicycle, call 724-223-5200.

Display burned: Sharon L. David of Nottingham told state police Thursday that someone set fire to hay and cornstalks that were part of an autumn display.

Theft charge: Billie Jo Henry, 33, of Point Marion, will be charged by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole items Wednesday from Lowe’s, Strabane Square.

Theft, receiving arrest: Michael Homer Supernaw, 58, of 520 W. Chestnut St., Washington, was arrested Thursday by state police on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, possession of paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol, having an open container of alcohol and traffic violations after police say he almost hit a marked cruiser on Bassett Alley in Washington. The vehicle was reported stolen from Jerry’s Auto Repair in Canton earlier that day. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than 2 ½ times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Two charged: Saige Austin Knapp, 24, of Cabot, Butler County, and Shea Stoner, 24, of 1815 S. Main St., Washington, were charged Thursday by Washington police for allegedly trying to cash two checks stolen from the purse of an employee at Washington & Jefferson College on Oct. 6. Knapp is charged with theft, forgery and conspiracy, and Stoner is charged with forgery and conspiracy after they allegedly tried to cash two checks totaling $360 at the PNC branch on Jefferson Avenue. Knapp is accused of stealing the checks while working as a temporary employee.

Debit card accessed: Debbie Vallee of Duncan Avenue told Washington police Thursday her husband’s debit card information was used to make $395 in purchases that were to be delivered to Bucks County.

Gun stolen: Timothy Rocko of Broad Street told police Thursday his Ruger .44-caliber magnum handgun was stolen from a gun cabinet at his home.

indows damaged: Travis Holmes of West Hallam Avenue and Tyler Givens of Allison Avenue told Washington police Thursday that the rear, driver’s side windows of their vehicles were shot with a pellet gun.
