PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh police were looking for two men who robbed a jogger on a riverfront trail after first asking to bum a cigarette then $1 from the man.

Police say a 30-year-old man from Coraopolis was jogging on the South Side Riverfront Trail Monday night when he was stopped by two men who stepped from some bushes.

One of the men asked for a cigarette and when the jogger said he didn’t have any, the man instead asked for $1.

When the jogger pulled out his wallet, one of the men pistol-whipped the jogger and stole his wallet.

Police say the jogger refused medical attention at a hospital.

Police were continuing to investigate Tuesday and did not immediately name any suspects or file any charges.
