Items stolen: Brandon Santoro of 530 Duquesne Ave. told Canonsburg police Monday a battery charger, two hammer drills and a welder were stolen from his home. The items are valued at $2,680.

Welfare fraud charge: Chelsea Helmick, 24, of 95 Charles St., Canton, was charged Friday by the state Department of Human Services with welfare fraud for allegedly receiving $5,673 in supplemental nutrition assistance and $1,374.24 in medical assistance between May 2014 and April. She is accused of failing to report her boyfriend’s employment and income. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Assault, endangerment charges: Seth William Glenn, 32, of Belle Vernon, was arraigned Monday before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment filed by Chartiers police. He is accused of pushing Ashley M. Burk to the ground, causing her to hit her head on the pavement outside her Regent Drive home Nov. 4. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of a head injury. Glenn was released after arraignment.

Wallet stolen: Tim Sliman of 255 Locust Ave. told Chartiers police Saturday his wallet and change were stolen from his unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway.

Gun stolen: Roger Lemley Jr. of North Franklin Township told Chartiers police Saturday his gun and sunglasses were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 148 Adlin Ave.

Pipes stolen: An employee of Stone & Co., 586 Plum Run Road, told Chartiers police Friday 16- to 17-foot-long pipes valued at $4,800 were stolen from the property.

Assault arrest: Samuel R. Boucher, 41, of 118 Fulton St., North Franklin, was arrested Monday night by township police on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and public drunkenness for allegedly throwing a folding knife and threatening to kill his girlfriend, Shelly Gorton, during a confrontation at their home. He was told to go to his mother’s house for the night and was arrested when he returned to the Fulton home, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on a $25,000 percentage bond.

Heroin possession alleged: Michael Jay Lowe, 27, of 1162 Brush Run Road, Washington, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on a charge of possession of heroin after North Franklin police said they found him with 23 stamp bags of the drug Sept. 4 at Washington Crown Center. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

False ID charge: Edwin L. Davis III, 26, of 250 W. Hallam Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by North Franklin police with false identification to police and driving under suspension-DUI-related stemming from a traffic stop early Thursday in the 300 block of Hancock Street. He reportedly gave police a different name because he was wanted on a bench warrant. He was placed in Washington County jail on the warrant. The new charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Man assaulted: Thomas Mitchell, 25, of Washington, told Washington police Monday afternoon he was assaulted as he rode his bicycle on South Franklin Street toward Wheeling Street. A man reportedly got out of a vehicle and punched Mitchell in the forehead, knocking him unconscious. Mitchell was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Wallet stolen: Louis J. Pacilla II of Washington told Washington police Monday his wallet containing $457 and an iPhone were stolen when he mistakenly left them at Goodwill, 89 Jefferson Ave. When he returned about five minutes later, the items were gone.

Items stolen: Daniel West of Canton Township told Washington police Monday a Nikon camera, lens and Sony HandyCam camera were stolen from his vehicle Saturday while it was parked at Alpine Lanes, Jefferson Avenue.

Theft charge: Richard W. Fields, 45, of 470 Addison St., Washington, was charged Tuesday by Washington police with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Shop ‘n Save, West Beau Street, on April 26. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
