Medication stolen: Margaret Self of 10 Hindman Ave., Burgettstown, told McDonald police Tuesday medication for her children was stolen from her vehicle.

Disorderly house charge: Steven Ngandwe, 19, of Scarsdale, N.Y., was charged Wednesday by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance after police got a complaint of the odor of marijuana coming from his apartment at Vulcan Village.

Vehicle crashes: Kathleen Kader, 72, of 401 Ketchum Drive, Canonsburg, escaped injury Wednesday afternoon when her vehicle ran into a shed on a neighbor’s property, Canonsburg police said. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital to be checked.

Assault charge: Val Smith, 18, of 911 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, was charged Monday by Charleroi Regional police with simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment after he allegedly punched Shawna Seithman and choked a 16-year-old girl Nov. 13 in the 600 block of Fallowfield Avenue. He also is accused of breaking the teen’s cellphone. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Fence damaged: Patty Kreamer of 121 Holly Drive told Chartiers police Wednesday her wooden fence was damaged by riders on all-terrain vehicles.

Marijuana charges: Duane Yoders, 35, of 825 Heslep Ave., Donora, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Donora police after officers said they learned he had two marijuana plants and grow lights in the attic of his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of possession and possession with intent to manufacture and possession of paraphernalia. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Drug charge: Travis Cornell, 41, of Marianna, will be charged by state police with possession of a controlled substance stemming from a Nov. 6 incident at 204 Second St., Marianna.

Theft reported: William J. Galloway of 518 North St. told McDonald police Tuesday that a five-gallon jug of change was stolen from his home. He told police the jug was three-quarters full and contained an unknown amount of money.

Change stolen: Randy McDonald of 16 Farley Ave. told South Strabane police Monday that loose change was stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

Car stolen: Jonathan Gerhardt of 315 E. Hallam Ave. told city police Wednesday his 1989 silver Buick Regal was stolen from his residence. Gerhardt said he last saw the vehicle Nov. 12.

Retail theft charges: City police were called to Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St., Wednesday for a report of theft. Arturo Gutierrez Escamilia, 53, and Olivia Gutierrez, 52, both of 630 Ewing St., allegedly placed over-the-counter cold and pain medication, bread and an onion in a child seat in their cart and attempted to leave the store. They were taken to the police station and later released. Both are charged with one count of retail theft.
