Philly fire truck crash injures 5
PHILADELPHIA – A crash involving a Philadelphia ladder truck has left five firefighters injured.
The accident happened about 10 a.m. Sunday in West Philadelphia.
Witnesses told WCAU-TV the ladder truck was responding to a call and apparently lost control, hitting parked cars.
The Philadelphia Fire Department sent a tweet from its official account just after 11 a.m. saying no civilians were hurt in the crash, and that the firefighters from Ladder 13 suffered only minor injuries.
Pictures from the scene show the cab of the fire truck on the sidewalk and a vehicle completely underneath it. A second damaged vehicle was resting on the sidewalk in front of a business.
The crash is under investigation.
