Police beat Dec. 1
False information charge: Gerald H. Richer Jr., 48, of Brownsville, was charged Friday by California police with unsworn falsification after he allegedly put false information on a gun application at Pfrogner’s Firearms, 317 N. California Drive. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Assault arrest: Brian Douglas Reed, 28, of 518 Duquesne Ave., Canonsburg, was arrested Friday by Canonsburg police after he allegedly assaulted Carra Thomas at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of simple assault, harassment and possession of marijuana. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $2,500 bond.
Teens charged: A 15-year-old Canonsburg girl and a 16-year-old Canonsburg girl were charged by Canonsburg police with unauthorized use of a vehicle, receiving stolen property, theft, underage drinking and driving without a license for their alleged roles in the theft of a vehicle from 605 S. Central Ave. Friday. The girls were found in the vehicle during a traffic stop after the owner reported it missing. The 16-year-old, who already is on juvenile probation, was placed in the Jefferson County (Ohio) Juvenile Detention Center, while the other girl was released to her mother. Both are charged in juvenile allegations.
Vehicle stolen: Louis Bell of Fireside Drive, McMurray, told Canonsburg police Thursday his white, 2015 Ford Explorer was stolen from the lot of Guntown Beer, West Pike Street. He was at the bar the previous day and misplaced his keys. When he returned to retrieve his vehicle, it was gone. Inside the vehicle were cash, credit cards, a cellphone, golf clubs and other items.
Gun stolen: James Harper of 433 Highland Ave. told Canonsburg police Friday his .22-caliber, nine-shot revolver was stolen from his home.
DUI alleged in crash: Mitchell W. Conklin, 30, of 543 Railroad St., Houston, will be charged with driving under the influence after reportedly crashing into a parked car on Vine Street Sunday, Canonsburg police said. He was taken to Canonsburg Hospital, where blood was drawn. Police told him the charge would be sent in the mail from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Harassment charge: Jeremy L. Barbour will be charged by Canonsburg police with harassment after he allegedly hit Cierra Cole during a confrontation at their home at 222 E. Pitt St. early Monday.
Whereabouts concealed: Brandon Michael Griest, 30, of McKeesport, was charged Friday by Charleroi Regional police with interfering with the custody of a child and concealing whereabouts of a child after he allegedly had a runaway 17-year-old Charleroi girl. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Woman assaulted: LeBarron Law, 22, of 619 Lincoln Ave., Monongahela, is charged by borough police with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, trespassing and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Law of fleeing 154 Highland Ave. with an infant in below freezing temperatures after punching a woman in the head about 5:15 a.m. Nov. 25. He is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Radio stolen: A transmitter radio connected to a surveillance system at the Independence Township Building, 34 Campbell St., Independence, was reported stolen Nov. 24 to McDonald police.
Assault arrest: Eric Weaver, 31, of 55 Fecsen Drive, Charleroi, was arrested Saturday by Charleroi Regional police on a charge of simple assault stemming from an Oct. 18 incident at Bakers Pub, 464 Center Ave., North Charleroi. He is accused of punching Nicholas Novick in the nose. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released on his own recognizance, with orders not to have any contact with the alleged victim.
Harassment charge: Ashley Lynn Fields, 27, of 486 Ewing St., Washington, was charged Monday by North Franklin police with two counts of harassment for allegedly sending threatening text messages to Dana Vallecorso at her North Franklin home Nov. 15. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Drug arrest: Dorse Moye, 19, of 721 Grand Ave., Pittsburgh, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to North Strabane police, Moye was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for a traffic violation. When the officer approached the vehicle, he said he smelled marijuana, which Moye allegedly admitted to having in his possession. Police said a search revealed Moye also was in possession of 89 packets of suspected heroin. Police discovered he is wanted in Allegheny County on a bench warrant. Moye was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail without bond.
Couple charged: Mark P. Coligan, 36, and Sarah J. Coligan, 34, both of 216 Pineview Drive, North Strabane, were arrested Sunday night by township police on charges of simple assault and harassment after allegedly assaulting each other at their home. Police said Mark Coligan also was charged with restrictions on alcoholic beverages after an open bottle of beer was found in his pickup truck. Both were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released.
Woman arrested: Lynn Ann Bascle, 38, of Houma, La., was arrested by North Strabane police Wednesday night after she allegedly assaulted Predrag Radoivici, 34, also of Houma, inside a room at Hyatt Hotel, 212 Racetrack Road. Bascle was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond.
Theft charge: Sally Ann Schwartz, 38, of 31 Gelba Acres, North Strabane, was charged last week by North Strabane police with theft by failure to make required disposition of funds after she allegedly took money from a GoFundMe account that was to pay for burial expenses. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Possession charge: Christina M. Pappas, 39, of 344 Winners Circle, North Strabane, was charged last week by North Strabane police with possession of a controlled substance after she allegedly was found with 40 Xanax pills not prescribed to her. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Erica L. Smith, 36, of 219 Johnston St., McDonald, was charged last week by North Strabane police with theft by deception after allegedly stealing cash from a counter drawer at Super 8, 8 Curry Ave. She claimed she paid the money as a refund to a customer. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Trespass, loitering charge: Dino Vincent LoCastro, 57, of 411 Center Church Road, McMurray, was charged last week by North Strabane police with defiant trspass, loitering and prowling at night and driving wthout lights to avoid detection after he allegedly was on property at 133 Locust St. Nov. 19 without permission. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Assault alleged: Robert W. Grayson, 35, of 6 Oak St., Somerset, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of simple assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of children after he allegedly hit a teenage boy with a belt during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
Three-vehicle accident: Lawrence Blockinger Jr., 37, of Canonsburg will be charged by state police with following too closely after a three-vehicle accident Tuesday on Interstate 79, South Strabane. Blockinger’s vehicle allegedly struck a vehicle driven by Jason C. Voyda, 41, of Butler, near mile marker 40. Voyda’s vehicle then struck a vehicle driven by Dean J. Christy, 48, of Powell, Ohio. No injuries were reported.
Endangerment charge: Matthew D. Arbogast, 31, of 701 E. National Pike, Washington, was charged last week by South Strabane police with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly fired shots at a metal utility trailer at Old Trails, 669 E. National Pike, Nov. 24, after he was asked to leave the bar. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Wallet stolen: Amberly Pettit of Washington told South Strabane police Wednesday that her wallet containing $500, her debit card and other cards was stolen from the server station at Olive Garden, Washington Road.
Woman arrested: Patricia Ann Griffith, 30, of Brownsville, was arrested Saturday by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft and possessing instruments of a crime for allegedly using a foil pack to conceal security tags as she stole items from Walmart, Trinity Point. She also was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on a warrant obtained by state police on charges she stole items from the Walmart in Connellsville. She was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Warrant arrest: Jessica Mastic, 26, of 406 Dickson St., Midway, was arrested Sunday by South Strabane police on a warrant charging her with two counts of theft by deception for allegedly returning items stolen from Walmart, Trinity Point, for gift cards. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Assault arrest: Daron Parks, 22, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Sunday by South Strabane police after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Michaella Bonds, at Walmart, Trinity Point, on Saturday. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond,
Receiving, theft charges: Curtis C. Sumey III, 37, of Chestnut Ridge, Bedford County, was arrested Thursday by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft, false identification to police, receiving stolen property and defiant trespass after he allegedly stole items from Walmart, Trinity Point. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond.
Conspiracy, theft arrest: Jocelyn Bock, 25, of Canonsburg, was arrested Friday by South Strabane police on charges of conspiracy and theft by deception for allegedly returning stolen items from Walmart, Trinity Point, in exchange for gift cards. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond.
DUI alleged in crash: Mackenzie N. Paulharaus, 35, of 135 Timberline Drive, Washington, was charged last week by state police with DUI and traffic violations stemming from an Oct. 24 crash on Interstate 70 eastbound near the north junction with Interstate 79, South Strabane. Police said she refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Receiving charge: Robert W. Petrick, Jr., 23, of 159 Almond Road, Bentleyville, was charged last week by state police with receiving stolen property after he allegedly sold a stolen video game console and video game at Game Stop in March 2014. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Forgery arrest: Robert J. Bidinost, 39, of 223 Arrowhead Lane, Eighty Four, was arrested Monday on a warrant obtained by Washington police on charges of forgery, perjury, false swearing, tampering with evidence and having a fraudulent document for allegedly sending an insurance company what he claimed was a court order from Judge Valarie Costanzo so he could make an accident claim on a vehicle. No order was ever issued by the judge, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
Drug charges: Anthony Maruca, 24, of 359 Lynn Portal Road, Washington, was charged Monday by Washington police with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after officers were called Nov. 16 when he reportedly overdosed at 324 Burton Ave. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Assault charge: Maurice E. Scott, 36, of Pittsburgh, was charged Monday by Washington police with aggravated assault for allegedly choking Naadia Dates at her Linn Avenue home Nov. 22. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
DUI charge: Eric W. McCartney, 26, of 184 Laurie Lane, Washington, was charged by Washington police with DUI and leaving the scene of a crash after he allegedly struck a parked vehicle at 153 Elm St. on Wednesday and fled. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Gun stolen: Ryan McKean of 835 N. Main St. told Washington police Wednesday that a 9 mm gun was stolen from his vehicle.
Equipment stolen: James Kosek told Washington police Thursday an air compressor, staple gun and cordless impact drill set were stolen from a property in the 800 block of Addison Street.
Harassment charge: Searra Davis, 22, of 725 Addison St., Washington, was charged Wednesday by Washington police with harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly assaulting Angela Dixon, 20, of Westland, at the Circle K, 701 W. Chestnut St.
Assault arrest: Christopher C. Mickulicz, 41, of 401 Jackson Ave., West Brownsville, was arraigned Monday on charges of simple assault and harassment filed by state police after he allegedly assaulted Jennifer Mickulicz during a confrontation at their home Saturday night. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and released.
