PITTSBURGH (AP) – A Pittsburgh man has been arrested in connection with the death of his 1-month-old daughter.

Allegheny County police say 30-year-old Joseph Swidorsky, of Brighton Heights, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities were called to a West View home June 15 on reports of an unresponsive child. The girl was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, then transferred to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where she died June 18.

Doctors determined the cause of the death was blunt-force trauma to the head.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Swidorsky was awaiting arraignment Thursday night. Court records don’t list an attorney for him.
