Burglary, theft charges: Floyd L. Malarkey, 41, of 4-B Scott Drive, Ellsworth, was arrested by state police after he allegedly broke into a detached garage at 206 Main St., Bentleyville, between 3 and 7 a.m. Friday and stole a motorcycle and dirt bike. The owner later recovered the dirt bike. After denying his involvement, Malarkey took police to where he hid the motorcycle. Malarkey reportedly told police he needed money for a drug problem. Malarkey was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of burglary and criminal mischief and two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Disorderly charge: Jenna Thiel, 18, of 66 Bell Ave., Burgettstown, was charged by McDonald police with disorderly conduct and failure to stop for a school bus after a traffic stop Friday afternoon on Railroad Street, Burgettstown. Police spotted marijuana in the glove compartment of the car when she opened it to get her insurance card.
Assault arrest: Ray Colin Greene, 21, of Latrobe, was arrested Friday night by California police after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Jessie Brown, in the 500 block of Second Street. He reportedly pushed her down the stairs and grabbed her by the arms and throat as well as punched her in the stomach. Greene was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Arrested in burglary: William Earl Dudgeon Jr., 24, of 618 Fifth St., Donora, was arrested Friday night by Donora police on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. He is accused of breaking into a home at 820 Walnut St. and stealing two Xbox game consoles and cash. Police learned Dudgeon had been at the home earlier that night. He initially denied the burglary but police found the consoles in a backpack in a trash can on the back porch of a nearby abandoned home. They returned to his home and learned the money was hidden in a drop ceiling. Police recovered a wallet containing money and the victim’s college identification as well as a bag containing more money. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $1,000 bond. He is also in jail on a probation violation.
Woman threatened: Thomas McIntosh Jr., 30, of 362 Houston St., was arrested early Saturday by Washington police after he allegedly threatened to assault Danielle Vespaziani and punched a wall next to her in their house. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of attempted simple assault and making terroristic threats. He was placed in Washington County jail on $1,000 bond.
