PennDot sets weekly schedule for Greene

The state Department of Transportation has released its tentative work plan for Greene County roads this week.
Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. County maintenance manager Jerry Simkovic urges motorists to drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights. Crews will:
• Complete bridge replacement work on Route 1023 in Cumberland Township.
• Begin crack sealing on Route 2003 in Perry Township and on Route 18 and Route 21 in Franklin Township, west of Waynesburg.
• Conduct shoulder cutting and grading on Route 2002 and Route 2004 in Perry and Dunkard townships.
• Begin patching pothole on Route 3005 in Aleppo Township and on Route 19 in Franklin Township and in Waynesburg Borough.
• Pave slide repair areas on Route 3007 in Richhill Township, south of Dividing Ridge Road, and on Route 2003, Patterson Run, in Whiteley Township.
• Start replacing pipe on Route 2001 in Perry and Wayne townships.
• Conduct shoulder widening work on Route 3016, McCracken Road, in Aleppo Township.
• Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
PennDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concerns. This number can also be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways.
