West Virginia man admits role in heroin trafficking case
WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) – A West Virginia man has admitted his role in a heroin trafficking operation.
Thirty-year-old John D. McKee of Wheeling pleaded guilty Monday to distributing heroin near a Marshall County elementary school in January.
Prosecutors say the operation transported heroin from Pittsburgh for sale in West Virginia and Ohio. He was among six people charged in June.
McKee faces up to 40 years in prison and a $2 million fine in federal court in Wheeling.
