Driver faces charges: Jordan M. Johnston, 23, of Marianna, faces charges including careless driving after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Maiden Street, Beallsville, early Saturday and fled, state police said.

Items found: State police report finding a laptop computer with a bag and electronic mining equipment off Route 40 at Green Valley Road near the S Bridge, Buffalo, Monday morning. Anyone with information about the items is asked to call Trooper Ryan Deems at 724-223-5200.

Two arrested: Michelle R. Clark, 28, of 101 Marra Ave., Washington, and Stephen E. Hutchinson, 25, of 926 Arch St., Washington, were arrested Monday by state police on charges of conspiracy with intent to deliver and possession of paraphernalia after police said they were found opening stamp bags of heroin inside a vehicle parked at the Jessop Place Park-n-Ride, Canton. Police saw a vehicle speed out of the lot before they approached Clark and Hutchinson’s vehicle. That vehicle was stopped, and an occupant reportedly told police he just bought three stamp bags from the pair. Clark and Hutchinson were arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bonds.

Fugitive arrested: Kristen N. Cleaver, 37, of 1145 Burgettstown Road, Hickory, was arrested as a fugitive from justice after state police determined she was wanted on a warrant during a traffic stop Monday at Henderson Avenue and Gretna Road, Chartiers. She is wanted in Boulder County, Colo., on a warrant charging her with identity theft. She was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail without bond, pending extradition to Colorado.

Megan’s Law charge: Jonathan Allen Sabo, 44, who state police said is homeless, was arraigned last week before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of failing to register as a sex offender with state police and two counts of failure to comply with registration requirements. He reportedly failed to register his whereabouts under Megan’s Law in August and September. Because he is homeless, he is being held in Washington County jail without bond. He also faces charges in Allegheny County.

Drug arrest: Daniel Dunseath, 42, of 182 Frederick Terrace, Fredericktown, was arrested Monday by East Bethlehem police after he allegedly was found with 26 stamp bags of suspected heroin while in a vehicle on Community Street. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of paraphernalia and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Two crashes: No one was injured in two crashes that happened about 20 minutes apart about noon Friday on Wilson Road, North Strabane police said. In the first crash, Jessica Simko, 23, of 19 School St., Richeyville, was going north on Wilson approaching a series of curves. Her vehicle went into the opposite lane and spun, hit an embankment and rolled. She was not injured. A vehicle stopped for traffic resulting from Simko’s crash was then struck from behind. The drivers in that accident, identified as Harry R. Obley, 81, of Venetia, and Michael Pancella, 23, of Connellsville, were not injured.

Card used: Jeff Lytle of Garvin Road, Union, told Southwest Regional police Saturday two fraudulent charges were made on his wife’s debit card for $309.18 and $309.22 at two different Rite Aid stores, one in Gibsonia and the other in Mars.

Fugitive arrested: Joshua Thweat, 35, whose last known address was Washington, was picked up Tuesday by Washington police at the Seventh Ward playground on an outstanding warrant, and officers also learned he is wanted on a charge of possession of morphine in Lake County, Fla. City police also had a warrant for him on charges of possession of heroin and paraphernalia stemming from a June 19 incident on Jefferson Avenue. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger as a fugitive from justice and on the city drug charges. He is in Washington County jail without bond, pending extradition to Florida. Redlinger set a $5,000 bond on the city drug charges.

Apartment burglarized: Brandon Odom of Maiden Square Apartments, 950 E. Maiden St., told Washington police early Tuesday that his apartment was burglarized and ransacked during the last month while he was working in Texas. Stolen from the apartment were a large flat-screen television, a computer and car keys.

Woman assaulted: Jamie Harvey, 37, of Washington, was assaulted by another woman Monday at Oak and Erie streets. She was treated at Washington Hospital for a large laceration above her right eye. Charges are pending against her alleged attacker.

Money stolen: Delbert Green of Washington told Washington police Monday $30 was stolen from him near Duncan Avenue and Second Street.

Ladder stolen: Michael Wasler of 915 Ewing St. told Washington police Monday an aluminum ladder was stolen from outside his home.
