ORANGE PARK, Fla. (AP) – A 73-year-old Pennsylvania man escaped injury after a tire on his vehicle got stuck on the railroad tracks near Orange Park as a train was approaching.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Herbert Caponi of Upper St. Clair got out of his Nissan Altima as the CSX train started braking on Monday night.

Troopers say Caponi was not injured. But the train hit his car, pushing it to the eastern side of the tracks. He was charged with failure to obey a traffic device.

The road was blocked for a short period of time.
