Police Beat Oct. 17
Harassment: Danielle Marie Casper of Houston, and Melvin D. Manes of Washington were cited for harassment Wednesday after an incident at 195 Midland Drive, Canton Township, state police said. Additional information was not provided.
Drug charges: Barbara J. Davis, 40, of 307 Sixth St., Charleroi, was charged Thursday with possession with intent to deliver heroin, endangering the welfare of children, possession of Clonazepam and heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia after police conducted a search of her apartment as a part of a narcotics investigation, Charleroi police said. Davis was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been set for Oct. 29.
Retail theft charges: Ontaria Lenaya Lamb, 42, and Dawn Gardner, 44, both of Pittsburgh, were charged Thursday with retail theft and criminal conspiracy after they allegedly were caught stealing items from Tanger Outlets, 2200 Tanger Blvd., South Strabane Township police said. Lamb also was charged with providing false identification to police and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gardner also was charged with receiving stolen property. The pair were arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward. Lamb was placed in jail on $5,000 bond. Gardner was jailed on $2,500 bond. Their preliminary hearings are set for Oct. 29.
Cars towed: No one was hurt, but two vehicles were towed after a two-car accident Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Washington Road and Circle Drive. A vehicle driven by Maria Habovick, 49, of Steiger Street, Pittsburgh, was stopped at a red light on Circle Drive. Police said Habovick thought the light had changed and struck a vehicle driven by Sandra Hall, 47, of Shelbourne Drive, Coraopolis, who was southbound on Washington Road.
Theft charge: Maurice L. Gardner, 34, of McKees Rocks, was cited Thursday for theft after police said they found him breaking into vehicles on Washington & Jefferson College’s campus.
Theft: A grill was reported stolen from a home in the 300 block of East Maiden Street, city police said.
Burglary: Several car parts, rims, a motor and a welding torch and tank were reported stolen from a garage along the 100 block of Maple Avenue, city police said.
Retail theft charge: Edward Robey, 64, of 300 Maple Ave., Washington, was cited Wednesday for retail theft after he admitted to stealing a bottle of vodka from Wine and Spirits, 980 Jefferson Ave., Washington.
