Monongahela Township Senior Center will hold a pumpkin painting contest from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the new community center, 110 Martins Ferry Road, Greensboro. Residents can look for signs to the center at the bottom of Stoney Hill. For more information, call 724-943-3935 or 724-943-3721.

Greene County Veterans Affairs office will have a distribution of nonperishable food items for veterans in need for Thanksgiving. The distribution will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 19 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Veterans Affairs Office at 22 W. High St., Waynesburg.
