Greene County residents are being asked to participate in a survey about what they would like to see happen to Ryerson Station State Park.

The Department on Conservation and Natural Resources, along with the Ryerson Park Task Force, believe residents’ opinions will help form a plan for the park’s future.

The survey, available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Re-VisionRyerson, allows people to specify what they find most important in a state park experience. There also is a page where personal ideas can be shared.

Harry Gillespie, co-chairman of the task force, said survey results will help them decide how to spend a $25 million settlement dedicated to park improvements.

“They have a say in what happens,” Gillespie said. “Because this is their park; this is their little part of Greene County.”

The survey runs until Oct. 30. The task force will meet Nov. 5 to discuss results and to plan the next step.
