Woman arrested: Tess N. Morris, 31, whose last known address was Amity, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Gary Havelka on warrants stemming from two cases July 18. She is charged with burglary and theft for allegedly stealing two chain saws from a residence on Fisher Hollow Road, Amwell. Morris also is charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia after she was found with suspected heroin during a traffic stop in Bentleyville. Morris was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Burglary arrest: James M. Urista, 29, of 1157 Wilmington Ave., Washington, was arrested Thursday by state police on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and theft after he allegedly stole a weed trimmer from the Cross Creek home of his former girlfriend. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $2,000 bond.

Drug arrest: Loretta Figolah, 32, of 1280 McKean Ave., Donora, is charged by state police with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Figolah of selling an undercover trooper eight Vicodin tablets for $50 June 14, 2011, at 65 McKean Ave. She is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond after being arrested Thursday on a warrant and arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson.

Driver charged: Christian E. Habbestad, 20, of 307 Dickson St., Midway, was charged by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol, minor under the influence of alcohol, having an open container of alcohol, underage drinking and careless driving stemming from a traffic stop Thursday on Dickson Street, Midway. His blood-alcohol content was almost 10 times the 0.02 limit presumed for intoxication in anyone under the age of 21.

Theft reported: Police said a homeowner in the 300 block of Hedgerow Drive, Venetia, found a person in his garage Friday in the process of stealing a purse from a vehicle, Peters police said. The man fled before police arrived. While at the Hedgerow residence, police discovered three bags of clothing were reported stolen from a homeowner in the 400 block of Longleaf Drive, Venetia.

Mischief charge: Lloyd F. Balmer, 45, of Bentleyville, faces a charge of criminal mischief after he reportedly damaged the back window of a vehicle parked at 11 Almond Road, Somerset, when he kicked up stones with his vehicle while peeling out of a gravel lot Thursday, state police said.

Warrant arrest: Corey Michael Weeks, 25, of Weirton, W.Va., was arrested Thursday on a June 2013 warrant on a charge of retail theft for allegedly stealing more than $1,600 in merchandise from Walmart, Trinity Point, on two occasions. He is also wanted on an out-of-state warrant on a burglary charge. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail without bond pending extradition.

Heroin arrest: Christopher Paul Clark, 29, of 2216 Belmont Ave., Canton Township was arrested Thursday morning by state police on charges of possession of heroin and paraphernalia, resisting arrest, escape, and traffic violations following a traffic stop in the 300 block of West Chestnut Street, Washington. Clark reportedly tried to run from a trooper. Police found 15 stamp bags of suspected heroin in the car. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Card stolen: Heather Musick of Washington told Washington police Thursday her child support card was stolen while she was at the 50-Yard Line, Henderson Avenue. The card was used to make $139 in purchases.

Cash, guitar stolen: Michael Karan, 395 Donnan Ave., told Washington police Thursday that $220 and a Gibson acoustic guitar were stolen from his vehicle.

Windows broken: Nicole Turney, 119 Jollick Manor, told Washington police Thursday that windows were broken at her home. Charges are pending against the vandal.

Theft reported: Darlene Reese of Canton Township told Washington police Thursday that $5 and credit cards were stolen from her purse. She told police she suspected a man and a woman, whom she did not know, stole the items as she gave them a ride to an East Wylie Avenue business.
