First United Methodist Church will hold a dessert auction beginning at noon Sunday. The event will take place in the fellowship hall of the church and will benefit the McNamara family. Gift baskets will be available. For more information, call 724-317-8118.
The Waynesburg University Lamplighters Concert Choir accompanied by the Waynesburg University Music Program chamber ensemble will offer a concert at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Roberts Chapel. The performance will consist of Gabriel Faure’s Requiem in D minor, Op. 48, which is a choral-orchestral, 19th-century piece performed in Latin and the best known of Faure’s works. The concert is free, and the public is invited.
Clay Battelle Senior Center will hold “A Night of Solid Gold” at the senior center building in Blacksville, W.Va., from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7. Live music includes rock ‘n’ roll by Al Anderson, the fabulous 50s by Mark Davis and classic country by Dave Clark. Table seating for the meal is included. Admission is $5 for anyone 14 and older.
Carmichaels First United Methodist Church will hold a spaghetti dinner to support Rusty Kerr with his fight against cancer from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 15 in the fellowship hall. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 10.
Jefferson-Morgan Band Boosters will hold a fundraising dinner show at Jefferson fire hall from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 21. Dinner, including spaghetti, salad, a variety of desserts and drinks, will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Live music includes rock ‘n’ roll by Al Anderson, the fabulous 50s by Mark Davis and classic country by Dave Clark and will begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Take-out orders are available. Proceeds benefit the band boosters.
