A Bentleyville man was arrested Monday afternoon by Bentleyville police after he allegedly threatened two men, including his former roommate, with a knife and then stabbed the roommate in the hand.

Dominic William Carter, 21, of 218 First St., is accused of chasing Cordero Martinez and Damon Bakos with a knife and stabbing Martinez in the left hand.

Bakos told police he went to Carter’s home to help Martinez, his cousin, get his clothes. Carter allegedly grabbed the knife and chased the two men up the street before stabbing Martinez.

Carter was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Sept. 14 before District Judge Curtis Thompson.
