PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Philadelphia’s district attorney says three staff prosecutors will get sensitivity training but keep their jobs following disclosures that they sent or received pornographic emails with colleagues while working for the state attorney general’s office.
District Attorney Seth Williams said in a two-page statement Friday that he believes Frank Fina, Marc Costanzo and Patrick Blessington have regret and remorse.
He says they recognize the email chains “were demeaning, unprofessional and wrong.”
Blessington’s name was on emails released last fall by Attorney General Kathleen Kane.
Fina and Costanzo’s names were on emails attached to court filings unsealed last week.
The courts unsealed the documents as part of Kane’s effort to show that Fina and Costanzo concocted an investigation into her last year because she was threatening to publicize the pornographic email exchanges.
