Five charged: Marcus Malik-Shakur-Davis, 18, and Craig Lanier McCorkle, 20, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; Lacey Jay Harper, 19, and Kayla Marie Pozzi, 18, both of New Castle; and Desmond Dominique Pierce, 20, of Chester, were all charged Monday by California police with violating the disorderly house ordinance after police said they found them in an apartment at Vulcan Village that was the subject of a 12:15 a.m. complaint about a strong odor of marijuana. Police said they detected a strong odor of the drug and found paraphernalia in the apartment.
Disorderly house charge: Jaquan Laysears Stuckey, 20, of Philadelphia, was charged by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance after officers were called to his Park Street home early Monday for a loud party.
Bicycle stolen: Darlene Dami of 327 Giffin Ave. told Canonsburg police Monday her grandson’s bicycle was stolen from the patio of her residence.
Drug arrest: Wallace Eugene Brown, 53, of 186 Cecil-Hendersonville Road, Cecil, was arrested Saturday morning by Cecil police on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver crack and a controlled substance and possession of marijuana stemming from a traffic stop on Southpointe Boulevard at the ramp to Interstate 79. Brown was a passenger in the vehicle. He reportedly told police there was crack in a pill bottle. Police said they also found other bottles containing suspected narcotics. Police also found jewelry in the car. Brown told police he works at St. Clair Country Club. Upper St. Clair police were notified, and an officer told Cecil police they received reports of jewelry stolen from lockers at the country club. Cecil police sent photos of the jewelry found in the car to the USC department. Brown was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Child custody charge: Jeannine L. Johnson, 40, of 1008 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Saturday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of interfering with custody of children and possession of marijuana. She is accused of taking a 7-year-old child without the permission of the parent after she was told the previous day to stay away from the child, police said. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Window broken: Caitlyn Rucker of Houston told Chartiers police Sunday a window of her vehicle was broken while the vehicle was parked at Chartiers-Houston High School.
Bicycle stolen: Brandi Cushey of 814 W. Pike St. told Chartiers police Friday a mountain bicycle was stolen from her home.
Home burglarized: Brent Ellis of 226 Chapel Hill Road, Claysville, told state police Aug. 31 two laptop computers were stolen during a burglary of his home.
DUI, endangerment arrest: Jason David Huffman, 39, of Elkview, W.Va., was arrested early Saturday by state police on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless endangerment after troopers were called to a domestic dispute on Interstate 70 westbound near the West Alexander exit, Donegal. Huffman’s girlfriend was driving the vehicle, and her daughter was a passenger, police said. She and Huffman got into an argument, and he reportedly pulled the key from the ignition, causing the vehicle to lose power. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Firearms violation: Raymond Cruz Jr., 24, of Los Fresnos, Texas, was charged with a firearms violation Aug. 31, according to state police. They said they stopped Cruz for a moving violation at the Donegal exit of Interstate 70 eastbound, and during a search of the vehicle, found a pistol for which he did not have a concealed-carry permit.
Two hurt: Two teenage males were seriously injured late Monday night when their car crashed on Route 19 in Franklin Township Greene County. The car was traveling southbound about a mile north of Waynesburg when it left the road, went over a hillside and crashed into a tree at 11:45 p.m., Waynesburg-Franklin fire Chief Jeff Marshall said. The two occupants, whose identities were not immediately released, were flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., with what Marshall described as serious injuries. Teens charged: John R. Flory, 18, of Marianna, along with a 17-year-old Marianna girl, a 15-year-old Marianna girl, a 15-year-old Richeyville girl, a 13-year-old Marianna girl, two 15-year-old Marianna boys and two 13-year-old Marianna boys, all will be charged by state police with criminal trespass after they allegedly were found inside a vacant home in the 700 block of Seventh Street, Marianna, on Thursday. Flory also is charged with corruption of minors. Police said they found suspected drug paraphernalia in the house.
Building burglarized: McDonald police are investigating the reported Sept. 1 burglary of the Midway Public Works building, 111 S. Center St. A public works employee who lives near the building noticed lights on and contacted a supervisor. All the lights were turned on and the printer recently had been used. This is the second time that police have been called to the building in the last few weeks.
Bank card stolen: Margaret Zombeck of 110 Church St., Midway, told McDonald police Wednesday her bank card was stolen from a table in her home and money was stolen from her bank account.
Drug charges: Steven Plance, 36, of 531 Duquesne Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged by North Strabane police with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with suspected drugs during a traffic stop late Friday on Weavertown Road. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Receiving arrest: Jonathan A. Warrell, 20, of 139 Highland Ave., Claysville, was arrested early Sunday by South Strabane police on a charge of receiving stolen property after he allegedly was found at the Speedway station, Washington Road, with a 2014 Ford Escape that had been reported stolen earlier to Donegal police. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.
Harassment charge: Sean Ellis, 40, of 440 Olive Ave., Charleroi, will be charged with harassment by South Strabane police after he allegedly struck Sherri Stiffler in the face during a confrontation Sunday at her home on Country Club Road.
Card used: Carolyn Pawlish of Burgettstown told South Strabane police Friday that her credit card was used to make a $374 purchase at Target, Strabane Square, after she misplaced or lost her purse.
Generator stolen: A generator owned by Golden Triangle Construction of Imperial was stolen from the Interstate 70 Murtland Avenue interchange construction site Thursday. The generator is valued at $1,000.
Assault charge: Michael A. Holmes, 32, of 26 Victoria St., Washington, was arrested Saturday night by Washington police on a charge of simple assault after he allegedly pushed Rochelle Flanagan down on a couch and held his hand over her mouth during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Threats charge: William E. Shaw, 44, of 558 Duncan Ave., Washington, was arrested Monday night by Washington police on charges of terroristic threats and harassment after he allegedly threatened to shoot and kill two women and hit them with a hammer last month. The women reported the incident to police Monday. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Drug arrest: Makayla Nicole Miller, 26, of 464 Lone Pine Road, Washington, was arrested Monday on a warrant obtained by state police stemming from a April 6 traffic stop on Meadow Avenue in Washington. Police said Miller was found with suspected Klonopin pills. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of possession of a controlled substance and a stop sign violation. She was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Woman assaulted: Treva Thomas of Washington told Washington police Monday she was pushed and choked while visiting a home in the 200 block of North Franklin Street. Charges are pending against her alleged attacker.
Purse stolen: Kristina Cellia of 226 Lincoln Terrace told Washington police Monday her purse was stolen from the sidewalk outside her home. She told police she left it there while she unloaded groceries.
iPhone stolen: Francis Matterone of Washington reported his iPhone stolen Monday while he was at McDonald’s on Jefferson Avenue.
Two assaulted: Dave and Joylene Brown of Houston told police they were assaulted by three or four men Monday in the 600 block of Ewing Street. Dave Brown was knocked to the ground, where he was hit and kicked. His wife told police she was punched when she went to help her husband. They refused treatment. They were able to give police the names of two of their alleged assailants.
Two charged: Two men were charged with simple assault after allegedly fighting Friday. Washington police responded to a call of a fight in progress about 10 p.m. behind 425 Baird Ave., Washington, where they said they found Michael Brease Jr., 21, of 425 Baird Ave., and Demetric L. Adams, 25, of 128 Jane St., McKees Rocks, engaged in a fistfight. They allegedly told police they had been arguing and agreed to fight. Charges were filed with District Judge Robert Redlinger Tuesday and will be sent by summons.
Theft, trespass arrest: Walter E. Turek Jr., 35, of Connellsville, was arrested Saturday by state police on a warrant stemming from an alleged theft Aug. 8 at Walmart, 134 David Kendall Drive, West Brownsville. Turek is accused of stealing items including toilet paper, energy drinks and a tool rig from the store. He previously was banned from the store by management. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of retail theft and criminal trespass. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
