Child restraint checkup planned

State police will conduct a free child restraint checkup from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at Washington Auto Mall, off Route 19 in Strabane Square, South Strabane Township. Parent who want to have their child restraint checked for recalls and to learn how to properly secure child seats are welcome to participate. Certified child restraint technicians from the state police will be available.

The event is part of National Child Passenger Safety Week from Sunday through Sept. 19.
