Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will shut water off on Bonar Avenue, between High and Sixth streets, including Thompson Gardens, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday for system updates. Customers could experience low pressure or no water and are advised to keep containers of water on hand to minimize the outage.

Jefferson United Methodist Church will hold a bonfire behind the parsonage at 6 p.m. Friday. The event is open to all church family and community members who want to have a good time. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Please bring a covered dish to share and a chair.

A square dance with line dancing, polkas, the cake walk and more will be held Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at Rogersville fire hall. Cost is $5 per person and $8 per couple. Tractor Supply in Waynesburg will host activities for families and pets Saturday as part of Pet Appreciation Week. The event will include pet adoptions, demonstrations on pet nutrition, drawings for gift cards and giveaways. It also will raise awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering pets and provide information on proper pet care and nutrition. Members of Greene County 4-H Dog Club will be at the store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; members of the Greene County 4-H Goat Club will be at the store from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
