Flight, drug charges: Jimmy L. Ritenour Jr., 37, of 228 Beallsville Road, Bentleyville, was arrested Wednesday by Bentleyville police on charges of flight to avoid apprehension and possession of marijuana after he allegedly fled while an officer was trying to serve him with a bench warrant. Ritenour reportedly fled through his backyard and was taken into custody after a foot chase on Lithuanian Street at Burkhart Street. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Warrant arrest: Torrey Brown, 40, of 307 McCormick Ave., Bentleyville, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant obtained by Canonsburg police after he allegedly entered the home of Jessica Chronister, 120 Oak Spring Road, without permission Feb. 22 and assaulted her. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal trespass. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Window broken: William Sullivan told Canonsburg police Wednesday vandals broke a window at a house he owns at 101 S. Central Ave.

Charged in crash: Samuel J. Jurkovich, 57, of 334 Cloverdale Ave., Canonsburg, was charged last week by Canonsburg police with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash and careless driving stemming from an Aug. 9 hit-and-run crash at 101 Cavasina Drive. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

DUI, drug charges: Jessica Miklosovic, 28, of 1072 Route 519, Eighty Four, was charged last week by Chartiers police with DUI and possession of a controlled substance stemming from a Dec. 31 crash in the 500 block of Western Avenue. She reportedly told police the six pills she had with her were Vicodin. Police said her BAC was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Fire reported: Chartiers police and firefighters were called Thursday morning to SMG Circuits, Stationvue Road, for a fire. The building was evacuated when police arrived to find that scrap metal had caught fire.

Assault arrest: Ronald L. Davis, 43, of 452 First St., Vestaburg, was arrested Wednesday by East Bethlehem police after he allegedly punched his stepson in the face during a dispute at Davis’ home. Davis was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Driver injured: Michael G. Simmons, 60, of Bentleyville, was injured Tuesday afternoon when his sport utility vehicle crashed into a dirt embankment on Interstate 70 eastbound in Fallowfield and rolled over, state police said. Simmons allegedly drove the vehicle for about six miles on the rims before he was stopped by Bentleyville police. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital. Police said charges are pending in the crash.

Driver faces charges: Cody Sowers, 25, of 801 Lone Pine/Marianna Road, Amity, faces a charge of DUI of alcohol stemming from a one-vehicle crash Wednesday night in the 1700 block of Route 519, North Strabane police said. Police said he told officers he was driving south around a left bend when an oncoming rig hauling a tanker came into his lane and forced him off the road. His vehicle skidded across a driveway before crashing into a utility pole.

Theft from vehicle: A resident of the 100 block of Bittersweet Circle in Venetia told police shortly before noon Thursday his wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen from his vehicle, which was parked at his home. It is not known if the vehicle was locked.

Tools stolen: Joseph Murray of Humbert Lane told South Strabane police Wednesday power tools valued at $1,960 that were secured with a cable and lock were stolen from the bed of his pickup truck.

Sign stolen: Debra Goodwin of Scenery Hill told South Strabane police Wednesday a magnetic sign for D&D Diamond Detailing was stolen from the side of her van while it was parked at Walmart, Trinity Point.

Warrant arrest: Clyde Conklin III, 35, of 122 Church St., Washington, was arrested early Wednesday by Washington police on a warrant charging him with conspiracy and receiving stolen property for his alleged role in the theft of copper wire and other spooled wire from Allegheny Ludlum, 15 Woodland Ave., last month. He is accused of selling 190 pounds of stolen wire at Canon Mac Metals Aug. 3 for $313.50. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Teen missing: Jennifer Jones, 17, of 765 Ewing St., was reported missing Wednesday to Washington police. She is white with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing khaki pants and a Taco Bell uniform shirt. Police said she has tattoos of “Hello Kitty” and the dates of her grandmother’s birth and death on her right shoulder.

Threat alleged: Catherine Spencer of 150 Hall Ave. told Washington police Wednesday her former boyfriend threatened to kill her and told her he was on his way over to shoot her. Police plan to charge him with terroristic threats.

Window damaged: Carol Swarrow of 138 Oak St. told Washington police about 3 a.m. Thursday a brick was thrown through her apartment window.
