A fire Monday afternoon damaged the porch of the house of Earl and Irene Renner at 470 Mt. Morris Road in Perry Township. Firefighters from Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Company were called to the house about 3:30 p.m. The Bobtown and Waynesburg-Franklin Township fire companies were called to assist. No one was injured. Damage was confined to the porch. The interior of the home was only affected by smoke, said Alberta Renner, the Renner’s daughter-in-law. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
