Burglary: Amy Federchrak of 212 McShane Avenue, Canonsburg, reported Thursday her home was burglarized, Canonsburg police said. Nothing was reported missing, but several doors to the home were damaged.
Burglary case: Henri Americo Basha, 43, of 205 W. Main St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with burglary, trespassing and drug possession, court records show. Police accuse Basha of entering his neighbor’s apartment through a window about 9:45 p.m. Sept. 4 while possessing multiple doses of Alprazolam without a prescription. He is free on $10,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Theft: Kevin Jackson, 58, of Spruce Street, Union Township, reported Thursday someone opened a credit card in his name and charged more than $1,200 to it, Southwest Regional police said.
Theft: John Harter of 525 Montgomery Ave. reported Thursday an iPod touch, a subwoofer and a stereo were stolen from two vehicles parked in his driveway, city police said.
Theft: Tony Mirischotta of 696 Summerlea Ave. reported Thursday tools and a carton of cigarettes were stolen from his vehicle, city police said.
Crash: Jason L. Pierce, 40, of Brownsville, was injured Thursday when the vehicle he was driving was involved in a head-on collision along National Pike, just west of Scenery Drive. Pierce was traveling west following another vehicle. Lee R. Schaub, 40, of Beallsville, was traveling east in his vehicle. State police said Pierce pulled into the eastbound lane to pass the vehicle in front of him as Schaub was cresting a hill, and the two collided. Pierce was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.
