Rices Landing Borough tax collector Kim Provance will hold office hours today and Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The end of the discount period for school taxes is Sept. 30. For an appointment, call 724-592-5706.

A rummage sale and lunch will be held at Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg on Thursday and Friday, Oct. The rummage sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The menu will include sandwiches, cabbage and noodles, homemade soups, pie and cake. Greene County Humane Society will host a cash bash from 1 to 7 p.m. Oct. 11 in Building No. 9 at Greene County Fairgrounds. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling Brad at 724-833-4973 or the shelter at 724-627-9988. The event will include food and games and is the biggest single-day fundraiser for the Humane Society shelter, which operates on donations and from community support.

The Waynesburg Senior Center is hosting a dinner show Saturday Oct. 24 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the East Franklin Grange. Tickets cost $15 and the entertainment will include Bob Padish, Classic Memories, Zach Frye and Lexie VanDyne and Ramona Mills. All proceeds benefit Waynesburg Senior Center.
