GLENSHAW (AP) – Court records show a man accused of being drunk when he ran over a 6-year-old girl standing with her mother in a suburban Pittsburgh driveway had three previous citations for underage drinking.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported 20-year-old Millvale resident Travis Grayson was first busted for drinking at a party when he was 18. He was cited again less than six months later and a third time this past July.

Online court records didn’t list an attorney for Grayson.

He was charged with homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence and other charges for losing control of his vehicle and killing Ava Campbell on Saturday night.

Police said Grayson told them he had 10 beers, smoked marijuana and “was driving like a stupid idiot.”

He’s being held on $200,000 bond.
