Independence Township will hold a fall cleanup from Oct. 9 to 17 for household items and trash. Residents are responsible for bringing the items to be put into the containers, which will be placed at the township maintenance building, Breezy Heights Tavern, the community center and the fire hall. No building materials, tires, refrigerators, garbage, paint, petroleum products, computers, electronic devices or appliances containing freon will be accepted.
