Vehicle damaged: Lisa Zofchak of Chartiers Township told Canonsburg police Monday ther vehicle was scratched while parked on Lou Bell Drive.
Drug charges: James S. Hammond Jr., 29, of 271 S. Buffalo Road, Hopewell Township, was charged Monday by state police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, not having insurance or registration and several traffic violations stemming from a Sept. 6 traffic stop at Buena Vista Street and McCarrell Avenue, Canton. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Paraphernalia charge: Kali Rubino, 25, of 811 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, will be charged with possession of paraphernalia after Charleroi Regional police said they found an empty stamp bag, tourniquet and two syringes in her purse Friday afternoon while investigating another incident.
Items stolen: State police said a pressure washer, miter saw and acetylene gauges and hoses were reported stolen Sept. 18 from 146 Washington St., Cokeburg.
Cables, cash stolen: Jaymie A. Jong of 11 Welcome St., East Bethlehem, told state police Friday that $500 and two USB cables were stolen from her home.
Bad-check charges: Shannon McClory-Kurnik, 39, of Cecil-Henderson Road, Cecil, was arraigned Monday before District Judge David Mark on a warrant obtained by Houston police on charges of bad checks, forgery and theft. She is accused of forging two signatures and giving her former landlord two bad checks for rent and a judgment against her. She was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Card used: Michael Urbanik of 508 S. Main St. told North Franklin police last week his debit card was used without his permission to make $886 in purchases at several businesses.
False ID charge: Christopher J. Veltre, 30, of 312 N. Central Ave., Canonsburg, was charged by North Franklin police with giving false identification after he reportedly gave his brother’s name to an officer during a Sept. 20 traffic stop.
Assault charge: Donnie Beverly, 39, of 1047 Fayette St., Washington, was charged Monday with simple assault after he allegedly threw his girlfriend, Stacey Henderson, 38, to the ground and kicked her in the back during a confrontation at their home. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Vehicle damaged: Nicholas J. Barnes of McKees Rocks told Washington police Monday his rental vehicle was damaged with a rock during a confrontation he had with two men in the 10 block of West Spruce Street.
Equipment stolen: An employee of Maccabee Industries told Washington police Monday a concrete vibrator was stolen from a construction site at 139 S. Main St. A window was broken on a pickup truck, and the equipment was stolen.
Copper stolen: An employee of Chevron told state police Thursday 450 feet of copper wire was stolen from a gas well site at 191 Kefover Road, West Bethlehem.
Items stolen: Larry G. Wherry of 857 Spring Valley Road, West Bethlehem, told state police a rusty antique tractor tool, steel tractor weight with a long chain and 15 to 18 pieces of sheet metal were stolen from his barn Sept. 15. A red Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck with a red cap was seen leaving his property, going north on Spring Valley, police said.
