MARIANNA – West Bethelehm Township road crew workers Tuesday demolished a large blighted garage that began to collapse onto a road Saturday.

The township was expected to receive permission from the building owner, Sam Smith of Ruff Creek, to remove the structure on Daisy Alley because its a safety hazard, West Beth supervisor Robert Mercante said. He said he used heavy equipment to remove the collapsed portions of the block building, and closed the street to traffic as a precaution.
