Dozens without home after roof collapses in Marshall County

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. (AP) – Dozens of people have been left without a home after a roof collapsed in an apartment building in Marshall County.

WTOV-TV reports the incident happened around 8 a.m. Monday.

Moundsville Police Sgt. Don Dewitt sat many of the residents were home at the time of the collapse, but no one was injured.

Those displaced were placed in temporary housing.

Dewitt says he believes old age and the weather factored into the collapse.
