Several face charges in South Strabane

South Strabane Township police filed retail theft and related charges against several suspects accused of stealing from local retailers.

Belinda Ann Patterson, 42, and Joshua D. Thweatt, 36, both of 575 Duncan Ave., Washington, and James K. Delaney, 32, of 570 Jefferson Ave., Washington, are each charged with conspiracy, retail theft and theft by deception for allegedly stealing items from Walmart, Trinity Point, on April 4 and returning those items for a gift card. Thweatt is also charged with driving without a license.

Patterson and Thweatt are also charged with retail theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing items valued at $272 from Home Depot, 255 Murtland Ave., on April 7.

Jillian D. Brown, 31, of 46 W. Euclid Ave., Monongahela, and Taryll Matthew Skaggs, 40, of Smithton, are each charged with retail theft, conspiracy and theft by deception for allegedly stealing a vacuum cleaner from Walmart on April 7 and returning it for a gift card. Skaggs, who police noted has 20 prior retail theft arrests, also was charged with defiant trespass after he was previously banned from Walmart.

Melissa Lynn Welsh, 29, of 470 Allison Ave., Washington, and Daniel L. McCullough, 37, of Pittsburgh, are charged with theft by deception and conspiracy for allegedly returning items stolen from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, in exchange for gift cards in February.

Lara Williams, 24, of Carnegie, and Tonya Canton, 31, of 215 E. College St., Canonsburg, are each charged with retail theft and conspiracy for allegedly putting $596 in merchandise in a baby stroller at Kohl’s on Dec. 30 and leaving the store.

Jessica VanPool, 37, and Adam Rozik, 32, both of 211 Johnson Ave., Belle Vernon, are each charged with retail theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing items valued at $180 from Kohl’s on March 24.

Sherry Forrest-Contreras, 44, of 555 Broad St., Washington, is charged with retail theft and theft by deception for allegedly stealing a blender from Walmart on April 11 and returning it for a gift card. She is charged with a second count of retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $310 from Kohl’s on March 15.

Diane K. Bugaile, 22, of 40 Belair Drive, Canton Township, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Walmart on Feb. 29. James K. Ellis, 51, of Uniontown, is charged with retail theft and theft by deception for allegedly stealing items from the store April 7.

Jason V. Monge, 24, of Sycamore, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing a desktop computer and Disney Infinity characters from Sam’s Club, Trinity Point, on Nov. 16.

Michael Tatar, 28, of 61 Hoon St., Monongahela, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing a vacuum cleaner from Target, Strabane Square, on April 11.

The charges against the accused will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
