Cables stolen: State police said metal cables were stolen April 6 from a property in the 200 block of Silo Road in Center Township.

Attempted robbery: State police said someone attempted to rob the BFS convenience store in Jefferson Township shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday. Police said a white man in his 20s, 6 feet tall with brown hair, a beard and blue eyes, went into the store, told the clerk he had a gun and demanded money, police said. No gun was seen, police said.

Motorcycle crash: A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash on Davistown Road in Perry Township, state police said. Dalten F. Rogers, 18, of Mt. Morris, was traveling east when his motorcycle crossed the centerline, police said. He crashed into a car driven by Thomas C. Ritchie, 63, of Mt. Morris about 6:35 p.m. Rogers was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
